I am a Licensed Mortgage Banker in the State of New Jersey which means that I can act as either a banker and close in my own name or as a broker. This gives me more flexibility in delivering the best possible loan programs for my clients.

In the State of Maine, I am a Licensed Mortgage Broker.

I am Marilynn English, owner of English Financial LLC. I started English Financial because I wanted my clients to have the best possible service available. What does the best possible service mean to me?

I am accessible when you need me at home or in the office.
I want to be considered a friend as well as a broker/banker who puts your best interests first.
I am straight forward with all of my clients. I outline all of the expenses of home ownership, your loan and what is involved. There are never any surprises.
I will locate the best available mortgage to meet your needs and circumstances.
I work hard to close loans in the shortest amount of time.

In 1989 I left my position as Assistant Vice President in the Mergers and Acquisitions Department of JP Morgan to enter the Wall Street lending world. As a mortgage banker I worked for banks, mortgage companies and even in-house for a real estate broker. With this wealth of experience, I opened English Financial in 2004.

I have the experience to be an invaluable resource for you. I have done it all. An advocate of testing, licensing and bonding of those involved in lending, I am licensed and hold surety bonds in both New Jersey and Maine. I enhance my training with compliance and continuing education courses in both States.

Memberships & Affiliations

I am currently a member of the Verona Township Rent Control Board and former member of the Budget Review Committee.

Animal Rights & Rescue Activities

I am active with the New Jersey Animal Rights Alliance, New Jersey Bear Education Group, Maine Friends of Animals, Paws Animal Shelter and my own group Place Unwanted Pets (PUP). An expert on Cairn Terriers, I am involved in the rescue of these dogs as well as other animals in need.
